Meet Louise Turner

Hello, my name is Louise and I'm a member of The Cast.

I’m a photographic agent and established Flock in 2010.

Phil Fisk. A master of lighting and mood, a lover of film and narrative he was the perfect choice for BAFTA who commissioned this project which shines a light on the whole filmmaking process from famous faces in front of the camera to the magicians behind the scenes.

Previous to that I was lucky to spend over a decade working in some of the best advertising agencies in London as a producer. I set up the agency to work with a pool of creative photographers who not only bring their expertise to a project but who also bring ideas and practical solutions.

Mads Perch worked with Art Director Gemma Fletcher on this personal project exploring photographing portraits through ink. Proud to say that the work went onto win a place in the PDN Photo Annual 2016.

Increasingly I find that myself and the photographers I represent are asked to contribute to the conceptual process way before the traditional commissioning point - collaborating with art directors and producers which makes the whole process really rewarding.

As I’m naturally inquisitive and am interested in solving problems as part of a team, this development in the commissioning behaviour of our clients dovetails nicely with Flock’s skill set.

The beginning of a year long project following a farm through the four seasons. Tom’s project is inspired by Clare Leighton’s The Farmer’s Year – a wonderful book of words and wood engravings, published in the 1930s. Here are selects from two days in the stunning setting of Sheepdrove Organic Farm in Berkshire.

It’s a cliché but  no two jobs are the same and as I’m always meeting new and clever people, I’m always learning, I’m never bored, I’m always busy and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Working alongside Studio Theolin and designer Sean Feehan, we supported a great photography project called If Not Now.
